Emmanuel (Manny) Rocha

Employee Spotlight

Manny has been working at Stormwater Professionals Group for 2 years now but is no stranger to the stormwater industry.  He has been serving property managers’ and owners’ stormwater quality needs for over 8 years.  Over that time, he has developed a long list of loyal customers who have come to rely on his experience and trust his judgment, knowing that he is always looking out for their interests above his own.

Born and raised in Houston, Manny takes great pride in serving his fellow Houstonians, knowing that his efforts are making Houston a better place. At 6’5” he can seem intimidating to some, but according to his BFF Stephen (who also works here) he’s a big teddy bear. He’s always cracking a joke and making his coworkers smile with his quirky sense of humor.

When he’s not at work, Manny spends time with his family, enjoying their passion for all things Harry Potter.  When not at home he can be found on the soccer field, coaching his youth soccer team.

Mark: What are the toughest challenges you’ve had at work?

Manny: Learning to allow coworkers to help me when I’m taking on a lot of work.

Mark: How have you grown professionally while on our team

Manny: While at Stormwater Professional Group I’ve learned how to communicate with my coworkers and customers a lot better through emails, phone and in person conversations. I’ve learned that it is okay to make mistakes but also to learn from them. I’m continuously learning  a lot more about stormwater from a team that has greater knowledge through years of experience.

Mark: Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.

Manny: I’m still a child at heart and can have a great time anywhere.

Mark: If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?

Manny: Alan Rickman (Snape from Harry Potter)

Mark: If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?

Manny: Pay off any debt and invest into a franchise. I would move to Florida and buy Annual passes to Disney and Universal.

Mark: If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Manny: Learn how to cook authentic Mexican food or foods around the world.

Mark: If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be?

Manny: Ice Cream.

Mark: Would you rather be the funniest or smartest person in the room?

Manny: Def the funniest, because everyone can use a good laugh to make time pass faster.

Mark: What’s something you’re planning on doing in the next year that you’ve never done?

Manny: Either go to Las Vegas or finally go on a cruise and see other countries. I want to experience more than just Texas.

Mark: What’s your dream job?

Manny: Growing up I always wanted to become a coach. Share my passion and the love I have for sports to the younger generations.
