What does a stormwater plan review check?
We review the stormwater scope of a submittal: the SWQMP and its water-quality controls, the detention and drainage design, and the SWPPP for construction, checked against the City of Houston, Harris County, Flood Control District, and TCEQ criteria that apply. We keep the review focused on stormwater compliance and completeness, not structural, geotechnical, or other scopes outside our field.

Yes. A third-party review is an independent look at another firm’s stormwater design. We are not there to redesign the plan, but to confirm it is complete and permit-ready and to flag issues before the reviewing authority does.

How is a plan review different from preparing the plan?
When we prepare a plan, we author the SWQMP or SWPPP for your project. When we review a plan, we check a plan someone else prepared. Because we prepare these plans ourselves, we know what reviewers look for, which is what makes the review useful.
